Happy Holidays

Happy New Year everyone! We hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Years Celebrations. We certainly did. We spent Christmas in Duluth & at our cabin. It was wonderful to spend time with my (Tiff's) entire family. All of my siblings flew home, so it was the first Christmas in a while that we've spent together.

So much has happened in the past few weeks. We've been running around like crazy trying to be as prepared as we can be for this little girl to arrive. We're basically done with Mini's room. All of the bedding is set up, her clothes are separated into sizes and placed in bins. We have an abundance of clothes, thanks to my sister and one of Trav's co-workers. It's such a blessing to have other families with girls. Basically we've been cleaning out closets and figuring out how we're going to store everything. I think the total this weekend was 5 big black garbage bags full of stuff that was thrown away and then trips with cardboard to the basement for recycling. (The boxes came from Christmas presents)

As for Mini, the MD has cleared me to have her at anytime. Being that I'm 9 months pregnant, I just feel fat & sassy. I'm ready to have this little girl. My symptoms are the same as usual; swollen ankles & hands, back pain and the occasional cramps. I continue with my weekly doctor's visits. Every week so far has been the same, no problems and medically looking great. I keep hoping that she'll come sooner rather than later.

Well with the new year brings about new changes and hopes. I find it amusing that most people make resolutions to lose weight. At least I can be optimistic that I should be able to lose a substantial amount of weight in one day. =) Although there's the minor detail of having to give birth and go through the labor pain. It'll all be worth it in the end. As for a real resolution, I guess I just want to be the best parents that we can be. Our whole world is changing, we're both responsible for another human being. It's kind of a daunting task when you really think about it.

Both Trav & I hope that you all have a wonderful New Year! May this year be better than the last!
