Well it's my last week at home. Things have been pretty exciting around here. Addie rolled over for the first time!! She went from her tummy to her back during tummy time on Monday. It's been so amazing to watch her grow and discover things during my time off. The only bad thing from this week is that Addie has GERD or acid reflux. Poor baby spits up all the time and gets a little fussy when she eats. I asked the doctor what she thought and she said to keep an eye on her and if she gets more uncomfortable while eating she can prescribe some meds but as of right now, she's ok. The doctor doesn't think that the drug actually makes a difference because it only cuts down on the stomach acid, it won't stop her from spitting up. At least I'm reassured that this is just a phase and it'll pass when she gets a little bigger.
I'll say it again. I can't believe how fast the time has flown by. I'm going to ease my way back into work next week with a 4 day week. I just hope that everything goes smooth for Addie. She'll be spending time with Miss Lisa & Max. It should be great because she'll get lots of attention and I know Lisa will treat her like her own.
Until next time,

6 weeks
Hi All, it's been another wonderful few weeks. I can't believe that my time at home with Addie is coming to an end. I don't think I'd ever be ready to go back to work whether I was off for 8 weeks or the full 12 weeks. I think there's only a few things that will be good about my going back to work, I will have peace of mind knowing that Addie is being taken care of and loved just like I would. My girl friend Lisa is going to watch her. Addie will have a great time because she'll have an "older brother" to play with. Max is Lisa's 15 month old little boy. He absolutely loves babies and always wants to play with Addie already.
Addie is doing wonderful. She's an amazing baby. At 6 weeks, she can hold her head up for several minutes during tummy time. I've been blessed with seeing her smile at me for a couple weeks. It melts my heart each and every time I see it. She knows both her Mommy's & Daddy's voice. When we're with friends, she'll turn her head around to try and find us in the room. It's also been a lot of fun to watch her discover new things. She's such an alert baby and doesn't like to sleep because she's afraid she'll miss something. She plays with her little gym (the thing with the criss-cross bars & toys hang down). She loves looking at the toys and sometimes she'll reach up to touch them. We gave Addie her first bath the other day. She was a trooper. She really enjoyed the warm water. Absolutely no crying until we took her out of the water, she was just shivering. Even though I had her all wrapped up in a big, warm blanket, she was letting us know that she didn't appreciate being cold. =)
Until next time,

State Hockey Tournament
Hello Everyone,
Well it's been another week or so since we've last chatted. Time just continues to fly by. Addie is doing great, getting bigger everyday. I can't believe that she's 6 weeks old today, which means I only have a couple more weeks at home with her. If I truly had my way, I wouldn't go back to work at all. Oh to dream about winning the Powerball, being independently wealthy, and to do what I want. Alas I must come back to the real world.
This past weekend Duluth East was in the state tournament for Hockey. Sean is the team manager so we went to all of the games to support and cheer the team on. It was so much fun for 2 reasons. First, I got to spend the whole weekend with my parents and they enjoyed their time with Addie immensely. Second, East played their hearts out and made it to the championship game. Even though they took second place, it was amazing. The kids went into 3 overtimes for the final game resulting in the longest championship game in state history.
This week so far has been good. Travis had 3 site visits that he needed to do up north, so Addie & I tagged along and got to spend another evening with Sean & my Dad. Addie & I spent today hanging out at my parents house while everyone went to work & school.
Both Addie & I also have colds this week. Mine has been brewing for a little while now and I did my best not to pass it on to Addie. Oh well, I failed. She's doing ok. Just a little bit extra whiney and wants to be held and cuddled more. I don't blame her. I'd want my mom to comfort me too if I was sick being so tiny. She has a pretty snotty nose all the time and will let me aspirate her every once in a while. I swear I have no idea how such a tiny baby can have so much snot. It's unreal.
Until next time, pray that Addie & I get better quick.

I'm 1 month old!
Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to write a little note myself. So far I've been on this planet for 1 month. It's been quite a month for me. I've done so many different things already. I've been on trips to see both sets of grandparents, gone shopping with Mommy & Daddy, even had a few play dates. I can't imagine being anywhere else though. I love Mommy and Daddy very much. They're taking such good care of me. I especially love it when Daddy comes home from work every day and gets me dressed in my p-jams. He's silly and blows on my tummy which tickles. Mommy and I have a lot of fun during the day. I've started my baby exercises. Even though Mommy is moving my arms and legs around and helping me do my sit-ups, I can tell that I've already gained some good muscle. Plus next week I get to do more tummy time.
I think my biggest change over this past month is that I've gained about 1-2 pounds. Guess I can't be too self-conscious about my weight yet though. =) Plus I'm getting taller. I can finally wear my 0-3 month clothes. The newborn sizes are too small. I'm a growing girl. Along with getting bigger, I'm a big girl because I sleep through the night. Most nights I go to bed by 10:30-11 and sleep all the way till 6-6:30. I know that Mommy really enjoys getting some sleep.
At least I don't have to go to the doctor for another month. That's going to be a rough visit. My Mommy told me that I'm going to have to get 5-6 shots at that appointment. I don't really want to go but I don't have a choice.
I'm looking forward to seeing what this next month brings.
Until next time,
Love Adelaide

Crossing State Lines!!
As most of you know, this time of the year is very hectic for me at work. Working six days a week and 10-12 hours per day is taxing, but we are almost finished with another tax season. I have decided to take a weekend off, so this coming weekend the three of us are fleeing the state and going to Ripon. It will be Adelaide's first trip across state lines and hopefully she will be good in the car! Tiff had two god drives with her last week on their short trip to Duluth, but that is only about a 2.5 hour drive and it usually takes about 4.5 to get to Ripon. We will see how well Addie does for that long in the car.
It will be a big weekend for her, meeting new people and seeing Grandma & Grandpa Mlodzik again! Addie only has two more Great-Grandparents to meet. Great-Grandma Splitt recently had surgery and has been staying at my parents house, so Addie will get to meet her Saturday morning when she wakes up. Grandma is recovering nicely and quickly, which is really good. Great-Grandma Bus will also be stopping over on Saturday to meet Addie. For those of you who don't know, Great-Grandma Bus is Great-Grandma Mlodzik, but I started the Bus name when I was little. My Grandpa used to drive the school bus for Ripon and since I couldn't pronounce our last name (I mean what little kid can!), I called them Grandpa & Grandma Bus. It has stuck to this day, and Addie will carry on the tradition. I am most excited for Addie to meet my Grandmas because neither of them get to meet girl grand-kids very often. I mean Grandma Splitt has four boys and Grandma Bus has 9 boys and 2 girls. Adelaide is the first Great-Grandchild in my family, so it will be exciting to see the reactions from them!
I'm not sure who else Addie will meet this weekend, but I guess she will get to meet a few other aunts and uncles and the neighbors of Erin Ct. It should be a fun weekend and we will let you know how it goes when we get back.
Until next time...
Love,
