Memorial Day!

Hello Everyone! I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. We spent the long weekend in Ripon. It was a nice weekend. Friday, Addie slept in the car on the way there but woke up to say hi to everyone when we arrived. Saturday, we made the rounds to seeing lots of family. Addie got to meet her Great Aunt Barb, Great Uncle Randy and second cousin Katie for the first time. She was such a happy girl. The rest of the day we spent with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle TJ, Aunt Tiffany & Granny. It's official that summer is supposed to be here because the pool was opened up Saturday afternoon. The Mlodzik men were crazy and jumped in for their traditional plunge. I think the water must have only been around 40-45 degrees. As Trav said, frickin' cold. =) I'm not sure if Addie will ever partake in that tradition...it's about as cold as a polar bear plunge. Sunday we went out shopping a little bit at the outlet mall. Grandma purchased Addie an adorable sun hat and pair of sunglasses. Addie surprised all of us because she didn't touch or play with the sunglasses at all. She just knew that they were there to help protect her eyes. I must say she looked so stinkin' cute. Mike & Jane threw a get together to kick off the beginning of summer. It was a lovely shindig with family. We got to see just about the whole Splitt family and Stellmacher family that's in the area. Mike made a wonderful meal. I wouldn't expect anything less. Monday, we drove back home in the afternoon and relaxed before the start of the work week.

Addie is 4 months old today! She's getting so big. She's just about 15.5 lbs and almost grown out of 6 mon. sized clothes. I can't believe how much she's changing. Next week she has her 4 month check-up. Poor baby is going to be getting 5 shots. I hope she does better this time with all of them.

Until next time,
Love Trav, Tiff & Addie

Fun weekend!

Hello All, I hope that this post finds you happy and healthy! I know it's Tuesday but we haven't blogged for about a week and figured we should say hi.

We had a full & busy weekend. Friday night Trav & I went on a date night. We went out to the MN Orchestra. Yes we really do enjoy going to the orchestra and listening to the music. This weeks performance included Rachmaninoff's Symphony #3, Ravel's Mother Goose Suite, and Stravinsky's Firebird Suite. All excellent pieces of music. Addie had a good evening with our neighbor Casey. I warned Casey that Addie has developed some pipes and likes to use them. Sure enough Addie wailed for about 30 minutes before she finally gave up and went to sleep. It just depends on the night. Some nights she's really good about going to sleep and others she just fights it terribly.

Saturday we had an eventful day. Trav had an umpire clinic for all of the newbies. Hopefully this year with the new association everything will go smooth and they'll be the best umpires in the metro area. Addie & I bummed around running errands in the morning. It was raining off and on all day till the afternoon. Right as we pulled into the MN Zoo, the sun decided to come out and shine. It was exactly what we needed. We met some of our friends from church and walked around the zoo for a couple of hours. Addie really enjoyed watching the dolphin training session. I was having a good time too till Addie decided to throw up all over my lap. Not just a little bit either. A ton of chunky, curdled milk...YUCK!! Oh well but it's nothing new and all part of the job. =)

Sunday, we had all of the storms coming ripping through the Minneapolis Area. Thankfully we did not have any destruction around us. We are south of the area that had the tornado. Travis actually went and played golf with Mike in the afternoon. They were only called off the course for about 40 minutes and then they went back out to finish the round. A good amount of people left so they basically had the course to themselves. Addie & I hung out with Jane for the afternoon. We had a lovely time playing, reading books, doing tummy time. We went for a short walk to take Gussie out but turned around when it began to sprinkle. That was a wise decision because it stormed off and on for the remainder for the afternoon. In between Addie's cat naps, Jane & I were able to play a few games of cribbage. The guys returned and they brought the sun back from the golfing with them. It turned out to be a nice evening.

Until next time,
Love Trav, Tiff & Addie

P.S. We're coming to Ripon for Memorial weekend. So I'm sure we'll see most of you at some point. For everyone else, have a wonderful and safe kick-off to summer!!

Back at home

Well we had a wonderful weekend with my sister & our nieces, despite the rain. Ugh if the weather would have cooperated it would have been a fabulous weekend. Oh well, it was nice. Both Trav & I were amazed at how well Addie did in the car. She was such a trooper. It took us 17 hours to get home yesterday because we had to go get our car from the cabin and then drive home. She fell asleep for the night in the car. She didn't even wake up or stir when I transferred her to her crib. The cutest thing happened when she woke up this morning, Addie realized that she was at home and was cooing & smiling in her crib. When I picked her up, she looked around her room and continued to smile and giggle. I think she was pretty happy to be home. =)

We took Addie to her first baseball game...well sort of. Can't really count as her first game for 2 reasons. First, it was the Cleveland Indians game vs the Seattle Mariners. And second, we only saw 5 outs before the game was cancelled for the rain. It was looking like it might have turned into a nice afternoon but then the rain came out of no where. All of a sudden I saw this wall of water move over the stadium. People went scattering like roaches in the light! It was absolutely nuts. We stuck around the game for a couple hours till they called the game. The best part of the game was when Trav & I walked to the shop because Trav was cold. It was a cold and windy rain. All of the adult jackets and sweatshirts were about $55-65. I really didn't want to spend that much because it's Indian gear. I suggested that we look at the youth section. Needless to say, Trav can still wear youth clothes for half the price!! The jacket he got was nice looking too.

Here are a few pictures from our weekend.
Until next time,
Love Trav, Tiff & Addie

Addie getting ready to go swimming for the first time...just staring at the water.

We swam for about 15 minutes before she got cold, she seemed to enjoy being in the pool kicking her legs.

Look out, I'm trying to eat anything & everything...my giraffe was yummy.

Happy Girl!!

Hi from Cleveland!

Hello family and friends, we're in Cleveland Ohio visiting my sister and our two nieces for the first time with Addie! So far everthing has been wonderful. We drove out here all day Thursday. It was about a 13 hour car ride. Addie absolutely amazed me...she did great in the car! I took her out of her carseat for feedings and to get a little exercise/streach her legs. The only time that she cried was when she was hungry, dirty or when I aspirated her once. Other than that she really didn't make too much noise. Although getting towards the end of the drive, Addie started crying. I had just fed her so I knew she wasn't hungry and had also just changed her. I wasn't too sure which cry it was...as soon as I took her out of the carseat She was happy. Go figure that she was bored and sick of being in her seat for 97% of the day! =)

We arrived safe and sound to the hotel and crashed for the night. I was so tired from not doing anything all day that I didn't move an inch in my sleep. I woke up the next morning holding my phone in my hand still on my chest. Trav was so worried that I wouldn't hear Addie all night so he didn't sleep too much. I didn't hear a thing all night. we woke up bright and early the next morning.

we went to the store to help my parents shop for my sisters party to celebrate her graduation from law school. We had a lot of fun because after we were done at the store, my sister took us to the farmers market. It's like nothing I've evere seen before. All of the fruit and veggie stands were amazing. Then we walkwd into the meat building. Any and every type of meat you could possibly want is there!! It's all fresh meat too. Plus not to mention all of the pastries, breads and baked goods! This is not your typical farners market. It's open Monday thru Saturday all year round. We really had fun seeing it. Addie had fun watching all of the people and looking at all of the colors.

More to come later,
Until then,
Love Tiff, Trav and Addie

Happy Mothers Day!

Hello Family & Friends,

It was a wonderful weekend. We went up to our cabin for the weekend because it was also WI fishing opener. According to the weather man it was supposed to be crappy & wet all weekend...well we had just the opposite. It was mostly sunny and 70!! We spent a majority of our time outside enjoying the beautiful weather. Addie went for her first swing ride. She loved her baby swing and even took a little nap in the swing both days. =)

Fishing opener was a great success for Travis & my Dad. They caught a total of forty some fish and kept nine. Addie got her first experience of watching Grampy clean fish. It was pretty cute, she was just fascinated with the fish. Her kept trying to figure out what they were and what was going on. The most exciting part of fishing is that Trav caught he first Muskie ever! It was a nice looking fish. Too bad that Muskies aren't in season and they had to throw the fish back. It would have been cute to see a fish that is bigger than Addie!

This was my first official Mothers Day! It was great. Dad & Trav made us both breakfast and lunch. We didn't have to do the dishes either. (The cabin doesn't have a dishwasher so we all take turns doing the dishes normally.) Travis and Addie made me a wonderful picture frame that commemorated my first Mother's day. Addie put her little footprints on the frame. Trav painted the frame and had it say "I Love Mommy". My girl friend Lisa made a yummy cake.

Happy Mother's Day to all of the amazing Mom's out there!!
Until next time,
Love Trav, Tiff & Addie
