We had a wonderful weekend. Friday night, Trav got home from work a touch early. Addie & I were sitting outside on the patio playing. She got all excited when she saw Trav drive up. So that just set the mood off for a great weekend. We spent almost all weekend together as a family.
Saturday morning, Trav went golfing with our friend Steve. They didn't shoot the best. Who knows what happened. After Trav got home, we all went to the MN Zoo to enjoy the beautiful weather. Addie was such a good girl. She had a lot of fun looking at all of the animals. We stopped to take a break at the farm and split a dish of ice cream and have some water. Addie loves to drink water from her sippy cup. We forgot it. So we improvised by giving her some water on a spoon. It was funny to watch her drink because she started to blow bubbles in the water and after she was satisfied with the amount of blowing she would proceed to drink it. Such a silly little girl.
Sunday was a big day as well. We took Addie to her first state fair! It was such a beautiful day. The weather was cooler in the mid 70's with mostly cloudy. Absolutely perfect weather for the fair. If any of you know how the weather goes around here when it's the fair, it's either blistering hot or awful rain and gloomy. To have a perfect day was a blessing. I took Addie down the big slide. It had 4 bumps and you ride down on a potato sack. Every time we went over the bump, she would giggle. It was pretty fun. We also gave Addie her first taste of fair food. We got a Pronto Pup. It's like a corn dog but the batter is flour based instead of cornmeal. She loved eating the outside part. No hot dogs for her quite yet. The other fun part of the day is that we took her into the horse barn. She was a little wide eyed at first, but soon became happy and excited to see all of the horses. She really liked them....maybe riding lessons will have to be in her future. Overall we had a wonderful day at the fair.
Until next time,
love Trav, Tiff & Addie.

Long 10 days...
Hello All,
Life has been full of activity. Both Travis and I had trips for work last week. Travis went to Indianapolis. This time I was in Mobile, AL right on the gulf coast. Now I'm sure you're thinking...where was Addie? She spent the week with Grandma & Grandpa. She had a great time. Our trip started with driving to Ripon Friday after work. Addie wanted to be a big girl and didn't fall asleep till after we arrived and she saw both Grandma & Grandpa at 10pm. Saturday we went to the Timberrattlers game because one of our friends was playing for the visiting team. We had a great time as a big family at the game. Sunday, Daddy drove back home to Minneapolis to catch his flight in the morning. I was lucky enough to be able to fly out of Milwaukee. Ron was a great sport in bringing me to the airport.
Addie had a wonderful time with Grandma & Grandpa. She had so many visitors. From what I hear, just about every night all the neighbors on the culdesac got together. Addie had fun visiting with everyone. Thursday night, Trav drove down to spend a long weekend with family. Addie was very happy to see her Daddy after he'd been gone for 5 days. I flew in Friday night. I was extremely happy to be back so I could see my little peanut. My happiness was short lived because Delta delayed my bags. For some reason, they didn't feel the need to transfer my bags in Atlanta. In the end it all worked out because my bags made it to Milwaukee and a driver brought them up to Ripon. It was a good learning moment for me. I won't check my cooler with the breastmilk again, I will gate check it to ensure that it gets on the plane.
Saturday was a special day, Mike & Jane's annual anniversary party. This year was special because it's their 10 year anniversary. They had a wonderful party.
Here are a few pictures to highlight our time.
Until next time,
Love Trav, Tiff & Addie

Addie's getting big!
Hello All,
We just went to Addie's 6 mon. check-up. Trav picked Addie up from daycare and met me at the doctors office. Addie was just talking away and so happy...until we took her out of the carseat. She had a massive blow out. I decided not to change her till we got into the doctors room. It was just awful! The poop had exploded out of every side of her diaper. We ended up getting poop all over the place and the exam table. The nurse was very nice and helped clean up everything. Oh the fun of blow outs!
Our doctor is very pleased with her!! As always, Dr. Brandt is so fun because she loves to see Addie and gushes over her. We really like seeing her. Addie weighs just under 17 lbs and is 26 inches long. Trav & I had a bet going with her height and weight. Trav got her inches & I was closest with her weight...so we split the results. Addie only had to get 3 shots today and 1 oral vaccine. That was great because I thought she was getting 5 shots. To top it off, Addie only cried for about 30 seconds. She started to cry right away when she got the first prick and then stopped. She started to process what happened and then cried again for a couple seconds. All in all she did a great job today.
Addie has been developing really well too. She can just about sit all by herself. She only needs a little bit of support here and there. She's starting to get some good tummy muscles, although she's a little wobbly. Addie is also enjoying being an adventurous eater. Some of her favorite foods right now include Avocados, Sweet Peas and Sweet potatoes. We've gotten the go ahead to start giving her a sippy cup. We'll start that right after I get home from my next trip.
I'll be headed down to Alabama again next week. This will be Addie's first week long stay with her Grandparents. We're excited to see how she does. It'll be a good test for us and for her. For all of you back home in Wisconsin, give Ron & Sue a call. I'm sure they expect to get some visitors to see the babe. We'll be ending the week by going to Oma & Opa's anniversary party.
Until next time,
Love Trav, Tiff & Addie

We Survived!!
As most of you have probably read on the blog in the past, Tiff's new job requires her to travel once a month for a week. Well, this past week was the first time that Tiff was gone to Alabama, so Addie and I were on our own. Since I am updating the blog tonight, it means that we survived! I will admit I was a little nervous for Tiff to be leaving us for a week, but I got over it pretty quickly and did a wonderful job as Tiff says. Monday started early as Tiff woke me up a little to let me know that she was leaving at 3:30am, but I quickly feel back asleep until Addie woke me up at 4:40am. Getting accustomed to the early wake up calls is not something I am able to do easily as I am not a morning person, but I sort of got used to it by the end of the week.
Our week progressed well, as we had good mornings, happy nights playing, and easy times going to sleep. We didn't really do much except for play after work; most of this time was working on sitting, tummy time and reading books. Addie really enjoys reading books before going to sleep and it is very enjoyable to spend that time with her as well. Most nights she will cuddle with her favorite blanket and her Eeyore stuffed animal that we got for her from Disney last summer.
On Wednesday night Tiff's mom came down to watch Addie as well, so we ended up going out to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner and Addie sure loved going there! The big screens all had baseball games on and had Addie's full attention! In short we all survived the first week without mommy being home and it ended up being a lot easier than I originally thought that it would be.
Until next time,
Love,
Trav, Tiff and Adelaide
P.S. - Addie will be visiting Ripon for a week in August (15th - 19th), so if anyone is around and would like to see her, just get in touch with my parents. She will be spending the entire week with Grandpa & Grandma.
