Christmas Part II

Hello everyone! We hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas, and got to spend time with loved ones. As many of you know we went to Ripon for the long Christmas weekend. We started out on Thursday afternoon with a wonderful drive. Some of our family and friends drove the same route on Friday and it took them almost twice as long as normal due to traffic and weather, so we were very glad to get the drive out of the way with on Thursday!

The weekend was full of seeing family, three Christmas dinners, and opening presents everyday. It was very fun to watch Addie figure out opening presents. For the most part she understood how to rip the paper off or pull the tissue paper out of the bags.

So we've been slacking!

Hello Family and friends,

Yes, yes we know it's been taking us a while to update things on the blog. Life has just been so crazy lately. It's the end of the year for lots of things. I'm (Tiff) busy with trying to wrap up my year for work. I had a 4 day trip right before Christmas to get in the last of the audits needed for work. We had a strict deadline at work that all of the audits needed to be done by Dec. 15. I got everything done in time. Now I'm just trying to finish those projects up. Trav was also on the road that same week. He was in flying through St. Louis to get to a study and then off to Kansas City and back all within 2 days. Needless to say, with 4 flights in the short time frame Trav came home with a nasty cough. We're still trying to get rid of it.

Here's 2 of my favorite pictures from Addie's nine month photo shoot. We had a blast with her. Even though she was a little cranky and tired the pictures turned out really well.

Until next time,
Love Trav, Tiff & Addie

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello Family and friends,

We hope that you all had a wonderful thanksgiving weekend! We spent the weekend in Duluth with the Raimos. It was both thanksgiving and Christmas. The entire family was home for the weekend. We haven't been all together for a holiday for 2 years. Addie got to meet her Uncle Ryan and Auntie Cristina for the first time! Addie absolutely adored Ryan. She thought he was a blast.

Thursday was turkey day. Grammy woke up at 4 am to start the turkey. Addie woke up shortly after 4 hungry. Ugh, her schedule is still off from day lights saving...but I digress. Thanksgiving meal was fabulous as always. Addie loved eating the mashed potatoes, stuffing, turkey and rolls. All homemade of course. After dinner was over we let our food settle by opening up Christmas presents!

Christmas was a lot of fun! Addie got some puzzles that make sounds when the piece is put in its proper place. Uncle Sean won Addie a green teddy bear to match her room! He was so excited to give it to her. Nammy got her a couple of beautiful books and a cute stuffed moose. She also got a few ornaments for the Christmas tree. Lastly her cousins and auntie picked out an adorable ballet petttie skirt.

After we were done opening all of the Christmas presents, we went back to eating our desserts. Mom made 18 different types of cookies, bars and truffles, not to mention the pies. We had our fill of yummy desserts.

The best part of the night was yet to come. We moved all of the furniture in the family room and had a dance party! It was soooo much fun. Addie was singing, giggling, screaming and dancing along to the music. She took a turn dancing with everyone. We'll post some pictures a videos when we get home. It was too cute for words to say. She stayed up way past her bedtime (until 9pm) and she was such a trooper. We knew she had finally had it when she just wanted to cuddle with Mommy even though the music was still going.

Friday we just hung out, did a little bit of Black Friday shopping with the crazies. Trav decided that he was going to get a parking spot at Khols really easily. He totally cut in front of a lady who had been waiting for the parking spot. The best part was when I was looking at toys for Addie, I overheard the lady talking to her friends saying how this guy pulled into their parking spot. I started to snicker and had to walk away. We found out that Addie really likes Little People toys. So we got her a few of the Little People for her to play with in the car. Friday night we went down to Bentlyville to see the lights. It was cold and the wind was blowing in from the lake. Needless to say we had Addie bundled up so much that all you could see was her eyes...4 layers on top, 2 on bottom, hat, hood, 3 blankets and a scarf. She loved all of the lights. I'm sure she was trying to figure what it all is, but she loved looking at everything.

Saturday was picture day. We took several family portraits. First we did pictures with the 4 generations of women (Nammy, Mom, Auntie Nicole, Cousins Gwen and Evi and the two of us). Then came the pictures of the whole family. At the end we were able to get some pictures of just Addie in the winter scene and then just the 3 of us. Addie was such a trooper even though it was nap time. After the pictures we had another relaxing day. That night we had our traditional festive appetizer meal. It was so much fun. There was enough food to feed an army. Out of all of the appetizers, there are never any deviled eggs for leftovers. Oh well. This we had eggs, meatballs, egg rolls, shrimp, jalapeƱo poppers, fluff, and stuffed mushrooms.

As always it was a wonderful weekend with my family. I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend with your families and friends.
Until next time,
Love Trav, Tiff and Addie.

That was a quick month!!

I can't believe that mommy and daddy haven't let me play with the computer for a whole month! They have kept me pretty busy doing some very fun things! At the end of October, we went Trick-or-Treating twice! The first time we went, I didn't dress up because we were at the zoo with some friends. On Halloween I got to dress up as Tinkerbell and we went to the Mall of America! That was a lot of fun for me to go around to different stores and get some candy. It was a lot of fun to see so many people dressed up and having fun getting candy.

As most of you know, November comes and most of the guys in our family go hunting. During opening weekend, mommy and I took a road trip up to Duluth to see Gramy and Uncle Sean. I had so much playing with Uncle Sean! We went out to lunch a couple of times with Nammy and we even went to place and saw all the ladies that live there. They all think I am pretty cute! It was a pretty fun trip with mommy! Well, the deer season went by quick and unfortunately daddy didn't get any deer this year. I felt really bad for him because he missed a deer one day and that was all he saw. Oh well, there is always next season.

The best part of the last month was getting to go to Grandma & Grandpa's house all last week! Mommy had to go to Alabama again for work, so I decided that I would go to Ripon and see everyone! I had so much fun hanging out with Grandpa, Grandma, both Great-Grandmas, Uncle TJ, and Aunt Tiffany! I went out to the woods one day with Grandpa to help him find an arrow from deer hunting, which was pretty neat! I can understand why do many people like to go hunting; it was very peaceful out there! I even got to go to wrestling practice a couple of times! Saturday was pretty exciting because mommy and daddy came to get me and I was so happy to see them again!

I know I have done more than that since I last wrote, but I figured I would keep it somewhat short! Before I sign off, I need to let you all know some new things that I am doing now. I am getting very mobile; I really like to army crawl around and get the kitty, play patty cake, stand up against the ottoman, and talk a lot!

Well, I better get going because its past my bedtime. Hope everyone has an excellent Thanksgiving this weekend!

Love,
Addie (Mommy & Daddy too)

Wahooo!

Hi Everyone,

Mommy's finally let me get back on the computer. You know it's kinda hard for me to figure out how to turn the computer on all by myself, let alone get to the blog. I hope that this finds you all having a wonderful fall. We've had such a great fall so far. It was still in the mid to upper 80's during the whole week of Mommy's birthday. It made her so happy.

I know I told you all that it was the peas that were making me sick last time, but I don't think so. I was just over-eating. My tummy was so upset that I just had to throw up to make it feel better. Mommy and Daddy are trying to be careful not to let me eat too much. All I know is that I don't like throwing up.

I've had a very busy couple of weeks. Mommy was gone, so Daddy took care of me all week. Grandpa and Grandma came up to spend the day with me on that Friday. We went all over town. Grandpa took me to the big Cabelas store in Elk River. I couldn't believe all of the different types of animals that they had there. I really liked looking at the elephant. It's just like my animal at home. Saturday I woke up and Mommy was back home. We went to Severs corn maze down in Shakopee. I got to sit in a big pool of corn kernels. I didn't know what to think of it. It took me a while to get up the courage to play with the funny yellow things. Then I got to see a bunch of farm and exotic animals. We even saw some pig races. It was a perfect day to be outside!

Last weekend, I got to see Gramy and Grampy to celebrate Mommy's birthday again. I also got to see my Great Grandma Nammy and Uncle Sean. Gramy and Nammy took me into town to have a fun day but I fell asleep on the way there. Our time in town was cut a little short, but Nammy got to spend some quality time watching me. I really enjoyed getting to see her. Daddy and Grampy were sighting in their rifles and that really scared me. I didn't know what was going on. All I heard was really loud booms.

This week has been a big week for me. I got my first tooth! It really hurts though. I chew on anything and everything I can get my hands on. I also like to combat crawl a little. I stick my one hand out as far as I can and push off with my opposite foot. I really can't do it all that well, so I still like to roll around and scoot everywhere. Before Mommy and Daddy know it, I'll be getting into all kinds of things and cruising around the house.

Hope you have a great weekend! Check out some of my latest pictures.
Until next time,
Love Addie (Mommy and Daddy too)
