Our new house!

Hi Family and Friends,

The first few days and weeks in our new house has been wild and crazy. We were able to move everything out of our old apartment in the one weekend. Mommy and Daddy spent a lot of time at night trying to put our new house together.

We really love our new house. We have so much more room to play and be little kids. Our new play room has all of our toys and books. We spend so much time in our playroom. We also have a great big backyard that we can run around in and play on the swing set. Grandpa and Daddy changed the old rope on the playset that we hang on to climb up to the fort. There's just so much more that we can do in a space of our own.

Sydney and I also have our own rooms. It was a little bit to get used to at first but now we have become accustomed to it. We race back and forth between the two rooms getting ready in the morning. Sydney's room also is the perfect way to cut from the bedroom hallway into the kitchen. We run circles through the house...kitchen through the living room, through Sydney's room and back again. =)

Chicago trip

Hi Family and Friends,

Sydney and I went on a all girls road trip to Chicago this summer. We went there to meet up with Auntie Nicole, Gwen and Evie. We hadn't seen them for such a long time. It was a lot of fun to see them again and hang out for the few days.

We spent the weekend just doing fun girly things. We went shopping at the huge Ikea, lots of swimming and a fabulous dinner at Maggianos to top it all off!

Our beloved summer nanny

Hi Family and Friends,

We were lucky enough to spend the summer with a wonderful young lady and her family. Mikenzie came to spend the summer with us because our new day care didn't have any openings until after Labor Day.

We loved every minute of the summer. On most days we went over to Mikenzie's grandma and grandpa's house. Her grandma really loved us up for the summer. She made us wonderful food and let us play with all of the fun toys. Her grandpa let us help him in the garden and help with some small projects. I learned that cucumbers and tomatoes all grow in a garden!

Mikenzie also took us to the beach a few times. We even got to go to football practice with all the boys at Kennedy. Mikenzie still comes over every once in a while to babysit us. We wish Mommy and Daddy would have her come over more often because we miss her.

Where did summer go?

Hello Family and Friends,

Mommy and Daddy decided to take the rest of the summer off from the blog. Not really by choice but more from being pulled in every different direction. We spent the better part of August finishing packing up our apartment. We closed on our new house at the end of August.

We had so many people came to help us with the move. Mommy and Daddy can't thank everyone enough for all of the help. Grammy, Papa and Uncle Sean came to help on Friday. Miss Brandy and Mr. Johnathan came to help as well. Daddy would not have been able to move everything we did that day without Johnathan. Grandma and Grandpa came up the following day to help us finish clearing out the rest of the apartment. It was a pretty busy weekend.

Since then, Sydney and I started up at our new daycare. At first is was a little scary and unknown. There were a bunch of new kids and yappy little dogs. Now that we've been there for almost 2 months, things are really good. We have lots of new friends. I always look out for my sister. She's still too little to defend herself. There are about 8 other kids there during the day ranging from 7 mon to 8. Miss Anne is a wonderful caretaker. She used to be a preschool and kindergarten teacher. I've really been learning a lot from her. Everyday we do lots of projects, coloring and learning. Each week is dedicated to a different letter. We play games, sing songs, do crafts and so on that all start with the letter of the week. We just love being there.
