Happy Memorial Day!!

Hi Family & Friends,

It's been a crazy around here lately. The summer season is in full swing. Daddy has been busy umpiring and Mommy has been traveling for work at least once a month. It seems like everyone has so much going on.

I've been a good girl. I'm starting to be a lot more confident in my walking. I like to walk between all of the furniture without holding on to anything. I've been walking with barely holding onto 1 finger. Over Memorial Day weekend, I started to walk to Mommy consistently without holding on (about 5-10 steps).

Friday, Mommy and I went with Grandpa up to Duluth for the afternoon and then went to the cabin later that night. We had fun in Duluth, I got to show Mommy all of the things that I love to play with when I spend time up there with Gramy & Granpy. I took Mommy outside to the big swing and then all around the yard. When it was time to drive down to the cabin, we picked Nammy up from her apartment. Gramy didn't tell her that I was going to be in the car. Mommy & I surprised her.

Saturday, it was such a rainy day. All of the ladies attempted to go into town for a little bit. Gramy forgot that it was the annual craft show. It was crazy in town, there was enough traffic that the local police officers were directing traffic. We went to lunch and had a good time. It was actually a little too crowded to shop because there were so many tourons (tourist-morons) in the area. Daddy came up after he was done umpiring. Gramy made her yummy homemade pizza for dinner.

Sunday, it was rainy in the morning but it cleared up to be a beautiful afternoon. It was so nice out that Granpy decided to grill outside and we had a picnic. I really liked it because I ate corn on the cob for the first time. Plus we had fresh watermelon! I also got to go for a boat ride with Granpy. We all pilled into the boat and went down the river looking at all of the houses. That night it was a wild and rocking night. We were in a sever thunderstorm warning, tornado warnings, and flash flood warnings. The lightening lite up the whole sky and the thunder was really loud. I was able to sleep through the whole night. Mommy was proud of me for being such a good sleeper.

Monday was another gorgeous day after a little morning rain. I got to play outside with all types of fun new toys. Mommy took me on a walk down the road and we stopped to see pretty butterflies. The butterflies landed on the ground and let me walk really close to them. I could almost touch them. Later, Daddy and I were walking around and I saw a funny fuzzy caterpillar. It was my first army worm. I was even brave enough to touch it. After lunch, we packed up the car and came home. It was nice to be home.

Until next time,

Train Ride!

Hello everyone,

Well mommy & daddy have finally gave me permission to go post another blog post! It has been a busy last couple of weeks for me, but I want to focus on what happened this past weekend. Saturday morning we loaded up into the car and took the long 10 minute ride to the mall. Mommy said that she needed to get some special clothes because she is pregnant. (I don't really understand what is all going on yet, so I am just chalking it up to mommy is making up excuses to drag daddy into women's clothes stores!! Just kidding mommy!) Hopefully I don't lose computer time for that one! We had fun as always walking around the mall. I like to just sit back and enjoy the ride and wave at everyone that is nice enough to wave back at me. The best part of the mall was going past the Brookstone store. It's a pretty cool store with all kinds of gadgets; out in front of the store a guy was flying this cool looking helicopter around that did crazy flips! Once we were all done at the mall, we did a few other small errands that needed to get done and then went home for a little while. After a short stay at home it was time to load up into the car again and go the season finale for the Swarm! I really enjoy the games because they play a lot of music and I get to dance in my chair and give people around me lots of high fives when we score! It is really fun going to the games, and they even won to make it even sweeter! The best part of the night was during warm-ups when mommy took me down right by the glass to watch the teams get ready. I started waving at all the players from the other team and they even waved back at me! A couple of them even came right up to the glass to give me a high five through the glass and one guy even gave me a ball! I thought it was pretty cool to do that and all the guys were smiling, so hopefully I made their time away from their families a little brighter!

Now I will talk about Sunday and the title of this post will make sense to everyone! We got up on Sunday to go to church. I got to see all of my friends in the nursery who I haven't seen in a little while because we have been traveling on the weekends a lot lately. After church we went to the mall again! I swear mommy must need a lot of special clothes! But when we got to the mall mommy told me that we were going to go for a train ride. I had never been on one of those yet, so I was excited. While we were walking to the train, I saw a bus and made sure to let mommy and daddy know by saying "bu"! I have been saying that for a couple of weeks now. Daddy and I see them a lot in the mornings on the way to daycare because they are picking up other kids for school. Daddy explained that the train was very similar to the bus, so I thought I knew what to expect. We got on the train and mommy put me in my own seat! I felt really special to go for a ride without my car seat! We even had seats that I could stand up on and look out the windows. I had a blast and was waving to everyone as we passed them! I was pretty bummed when daddy told me that the ride was over and we had to get off the train, but my excitement quickly came back as we were at Target Field. That's right, I went to the Twin's game with mommy and daddy! I even got a bat as we entered because all kids got one that day! Daddy took me right down by the field to watch batting practice. It was cool to see the guys hitting the baseball, but I really wanted to go play on the green grass! Daddy said that I couldn't, so I got a little upset with him. As daddy explained to me later, if you run out on the field during a game you meet the police and get in trouble. I was not upset anymore because I don't want to be in trouble. The game was very fun, even though it was only 55 degrees outside. Mommy had me all bundled up so I was nice and toasty! The Twins actually won, which is rare right now because as daddy says, they are struggling right now!

Well I better get back to playing with all of my friends at daycare now. I have put a few pictures up of my train ride below so you can see how much fun I had!

Until next time,
