Fun Weekend!!

Well the countdown is still on for Mini's arrival...16 days. I (Tiff) am starting to die, I know terribly over dramatic. I just to get more and more uncomfortable. Trav is very supportive but he feels helpless because there's nothing he can really do to help. I just continue to walk and try light stretching to relieve some of the aches. Although the best thing that I've done recently is go to see an acupuncturist. I really like it a lot. I must say, I was skeptical at first about how much could it really help to be a human pin cushion. I've found a lot of relief from my back pain by going there. Plus I just feel good overall every time I leave from a session. Another benefit to the acupuncture is that there are several spots that help with induction of labor as well. So We're slowly working on that as well. Even if it doesn't put my into labor immediately, I still like that I feel good after each session. Trav can even attest to it, I was peppy the other night and was able to get a lot of cleaning done. That's saying a lot because I tend to fall asleep on the couch around 6:30 or so because I'm exhausted from working all day.

Funny story, the other night I was really tired. I fell asleep on the couch some time. Next thing I knew, I woke up to this strange man walking around saying hi. I had absolutely no clue where I was, who this person was, I was so out of it. Trav had just come home from work, he said I had such a blank stare on my face for about 5 minutes. I felt so bad because I didn't even recognize my own husband at first. Needless to say once I woke up, everything was fine. Hopefully this won't happen too much because of lack of sleep and exhaustion.

As for this weekend, Trav had one last guys night out. He went to the Wild vs. Avalanche game with his good buddy Jason. They had a great time meeting for dinner at Tom Reids and then heading to the game. Av's won 4-1. Couldn't ask for a better outcome! I wasn't alone either...Lisa & Mary threw me a baby shower. It was a blast. My favorite part of the night was our activity time. There were a bunch of blank onesies and wash clothes. Mary brought her fabric markers and we created different designs. It was a nice time to spend with close friends. After everyone left; Mary, Lisa & I just sat around and cuddled on the couch talking. All of a sudden it was around 10:30 and a little head pops in the doorway. Trav was done with the game and decided to stop over at Lisa's house to see if I was still there. He was so sweet, he cleaned all of the snow and ice off of both mine & Mary's car. Then he proceeded to help carry out the gifts and help Mary with all of her bags too. It was just really nice.

Last night, we had dinner with Mike & Jane. We had an amazing meal. I wouldn't expect anything less. Mike made a great Caesar salad and awesome, perfectly braised short ribs. Jane made yummy potatoes with fresh rosemary & olive oil. Once we were thoroughly stuffed with dinner, Jane brought out dessert to celebrate Trav's birthday. We had individual 2" round cheesecakes with chocolate and raspberries. It was the perfect balance of cake, chocolate & berries. We're so blessed to have family close by that we can spend evenings with. It's our home away from home.

Until next time...Love Tiff & Trav.

p.s. hopefully next time we blog, there will be pictures of Mini!!!
