Groundbreaking!!

Hello all,

Well it has been a long time since we last put a post up, but we have been doing well since last August! The girls are growing like weeds, Jazmyn has really become part of the family now as well, and we have some exciting news to share!

We have broken ground on an addition to the house. We tore down our old detached garage and are replacing it with a new garage that is attached to the house with a mudroom. The process has really picked up over the last couple of days, and we are hoping to get it all finished by the end of June, so stayed tuned for that! It is construction, and as I have found out in the past, sometimes it doesn't go as smooth as you would think.

I am going to keep this one short and sweet, but thought I would share some of the photos we have taken so far. There are more photos of the demolition of the garage, but they are on Tiff's phone and she is taking the girls to the river for the weekend, so we will have to post those later.

Hope you enjoy the photos.

Love,

Old Garage. It flooded a lot and was not useful as it was only 20'x20'. We could park both cars in there, but  then there wasn't room for anything else.

The side door on the left is where the new mudroom will attach to the house. The fence will eventually come down and this area will become a nice garden.

This view of the house will change quickly! Watch for updates.

Full view of the before.

Jazmyn is now tied to a leash at all times outside. Until the project gets complete, we have no doggie containment in the yard. She will be very happy when the project is complete as well!

Side view of the old garage. The new garage is going to be 21' wide by 30' deep, so just  on the right hand side of the white door is where the new garage will end. We will gain 14' of backyard space.

Demo is almost complete. Tiff has more pictures on her phone, but this gives you an idea of what is happening.

View of the back of where the mudroom will be. Footings have been formed, inspected, and will be poured tomorrow!

The new garage!
