The Mlodziks: Spring Break 2014!

Hi Family and Friends,

It's been another stretch of time since Mommy and Daddy have let us on to the computer. I snuck out of bed to come down here. =)

Mommy, Sydney and I went to Myrtle Beach, SC for spring break. Papa, Gramy and Sean came down to spend the night at our house before we left. We all got up nice and early and left first thing in the morning. It was a really long drive to the beach. The first day we drove 14.5 hours. We made it all the way to the KY and TN boarder. We drove the final 8 hours on Sat. Auntie Nicole, Gwen and Evi met us there a little later that night.

Our first day in Myrtle Beach, we went to the beach. It was the first time that we got to see the Ocean! It was pretty awesome. Mommy even let us put of feet into the water. The waves just kept coming and coming. There was one wave that almost knocked us over! Sydney and Mommy kept walking along the beach and I went back to digging holes and playing with sand. When we were at the beach the second day, we even saw some dolphins swimming off in the distance.

The condo that we stayed at was pretty nice. They had 3 different pools. 1 indoor pool and 2 outdoor pools. Too bad it wasn't the nicest weather. The first outdoor pool and hot tub was the adult pool. The second outdoor pool area was for the kids. It had a zero entry pool that only went to about 1.5 feet deep. There was a play pool with all kinds of things spraying water. There was even a big bucket that would tip over once it was so full! The kids area even had a huge lazy river and hot tub too! We were brave Minnesotans. Sydney and I waded into the chilly play pool and then would run over to the hot tub to warm up. Uncle Sean, Gwen and Evi went into the lazy river. That was the only day we braved swimming outside. Mommy said that the water was chilly like swimming in Lake Superior. The indoor pool was great! We went swimming at least once a day, most days twice!

During the week, we did a few other really fun things. We did some shopping and sight seeing. Sydney and I got to go to our very first movie in a theater!! We saw the Muppet movie. We each got to sit in our own big seat. They had special booster chairs that we got to sit in to ensure that the seat wouldn't fold up on us. Papa even got us popcorn and sprite! The movie was funny with Miss Piggy and 2 frogs. Sydney was giggling and kicking her feet throughout the movie. We both really liked it and want to go see more movies. Our sightseeing fun was when we went to the big Sky Wheel. We all went up into this pod with glass all around. It was pretty awesome. We were so high up in the sky!! There were pelicans flying by. We could see miles of beach in either direction. The last fun part was we got to have our first Krispy Kreme donuts!! The donuts were hot and fresh to top it off!

All in all, it was a great break from Minnesota. We did miss Daddy though. We got to talk to him on the phone and FaceTime a few times. The best part of coming home is that Daddy had a surprise for us. We have a new puppy! Our little lady is named Jazmyn. She's a lab mix. She's a pretty spunky little girl.
